Hello, my name is Eva Korae, a designer and a hands on maker based in Limassol, Cyprus. I have worked in the fields of dance and theatre as a stage designer for more than 25 years and I am an Assistant Professor at Cyprus University of Technology.

I design, make and exhibit contemporary products in Cyprus and Europe, some of which have won awards.

I am a graduate of Fab Academy (Fab Lab Amsterdam) and an active supporter of the maker movement having contributed to the organization of MGA Makerspace and Makers Will Make.

Recently I have begun to explore green ways of making through the introduction of pre-industrial techniques into contemporary systems of production. I am particularly interested in how mainstream impressions of beauty and the Anthropo-scene become an obstacle in the establishment of sustainable processes. Additionally in how design thinking methodologies may be implemented to contribute to social change.

I write, publish and present studies with an emphasis on my perspective as a maker through the Serious Products Lab
